Jeffrey D,

I certainly didn't mean to offend or be nasty. My remarks were meant to affirm Gottfried's suggestion that buying AMAT or Safeway would have been better over time. AMAT is a growth-cyclical, an unusual breed of animal.

I felt my comments were taken out of context when I specifically said "not always" best to trade, since I could easily imagine a shot back.

Buying amat at a cyclical top turns into a really lousy investment. Buying it at a bottom in a bear market and you get one of the greatest 2-3 year investments you will get in a lifetime.

There are easier games than this. I think that was Gottfried's point and mine as well.
