Kerry .. I don't know much about what ISPs are available in your area, but if you have a choice, perhaps you'd be better off using a different ISP?

If I want a cable modem, there is only one provider in Vancouver - Rogers @Home service. I'm assuming that in the States, there would only be one @Home provider per city, but are there other cable modem ISPs that offer competition to @Home in each city?

Bottom line is now that my speed problems with SI have been solved, I would never go back to a telephone ISP.
