A potential outcome could be one of stereotyping, in that if QWST is relegated to a transport facility-only role, and AOL assumes the major content-oriented role, it squeezes QWST into a subordinate image.

OTOH, I'm not aware of any content-oriented strategy on QWST's part right now that is exposed or threatened. Their major thrust has been in transmission capacity and switching.

Anyone have any views in this regard?
