SANTA CLARA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 23, 1998--3Com (Nasdaq:COMS) today announced that Hewlett-Packard Company has joined the 3Com Connected(tm) program on a corporate-wide basis. 3Com and HP developed a joint certification process for resellers and distributors to offer mobile, desktop and server systems pre-configured with 3Com(R) network interface cards and modems. HP has worked with 3Com to build in more manageability and lower the total cost of ownership for HP OmniBook notebook PCs, HP NetServer servers and HP Vectra Corporate PCs.
