The reviews are starting to come in: sptimes.com "A Bug's Life surpasses Toy Story in almost every regard except the one that matters most. The tale of Flik and his entomological pals has much less emotional appeal than did Toy Story. Nothing resonates with the universal worries that Buzz and Woody had to overcome: fears of being replaced or realizing that you're not what you thought yourself to be and that's okay. The decision to make A Bug's Life without a single musical sequence is brave, but it deprives the movie of chances to communicate something beyond plot construction and puns."
