CheckFree/Macintosh Clarification:

The following should help clarify any confusion regarding the migration of CheckFree supported Macintosh versions of Quicken to Quicken 98, following is a review of the actual cut-over and any customer implications:

1) CheckFree decided to migrate all Quicken Macintosh users to Quicken
98 to enhance customer care and technical support.

2) To minimize customer impact, and provide the enhanced features and
functionality of Quicken 98 at no cost, a free copy of Quicken 98 was
mailed to EACH Mac user with complete installation and QuickStart
guides.

3) ALL Quicken 98 bill payment users will continue to enjoy complete
customer and technical support through CheckFree.

4) As indicated in the package, ALL payment processing will also
continue to be conducted by CheckFree, through a new entity called Intuit Online Payment. (Note: CheckFree purchased Intuit's payment processing system in 1996.)
