Had my Corvette in today to check on what might have been a transmission or diff. problem. But what a relief. Only the universal joints on the main drive shaft. Only about $100. Canadian to repair. Lucky me. However, the U joints in there only have about 10000 miles on them. The guy says they were not installed properly. Strange. This mechanic has a Cobra replica with a 429 ci. and 465 HP. Yellow with black cross stripe over the front. Very nice car. Consider that it weighs only 2200 lbs and you have what I would call a burner on the street. He also owns the Rolls from the John Candy estate that Wayne Gretsky used on his wedding day. Wonder what it's worth today. Rainy season has hit here so having fun with the Corvette keeping the rear end straight. Big thrill at no speed! Have had to detune a little since I moved here from the east. Lowered the fuel pressure and took out some small but good parts from the air intake setup. More in line with the roads and cops here. In the east we had some wide open interstates and no cops. They use a lot of photo radar here and will get you for 1 Km over the limit. Jerks! Plus the roads are just not conducive to having fun. Later. Steve.
