I don't know what a remote is. Is it a splice box?

Yeow. You're asking ME? <G>

I really don't know, Scrapps. It is a box about the size of a Superman phone booth, and is full of backup batteries and PC boards. It is not a link to fiber. I assume it functions as an amplifier and multi-line modulator.

I live in a VERY rural area (see my profile), and this remote box provides service for all my neighbors within a 15 mile radius; about 20 households.

Don't forget, now -- you're the Guru, we're the novitiates. <G>

Back to basic:

Now that ADSL is asymmetric, sending is much slower than receiving, wouldn't this pose some problem when we sending and receiving video and graphic materials? (I assume in the future people will want to communicate with high quality video)

Can you think of any other obstacles ADSL/G.Lite might have?

Enough for tech. stuff for now. On business side, can you give it a shot at 3 companies that will ten fold in few years?

Big guys could double or triple in few years, but in order to find 10x, guess we will have to look for new IPO or small companies.

I am searching for a private company that will go public soon.
One company I am researching now is ITex, this is a private company but they said they will go public in 1999.
itexinc.com

Another one is Xpeed, they haven't returned my em yet.
itexinc.com

and of course I will include AWRE. :o)
