Walter, if a large company sees promise in a small company, a direct purchase from the small company would benefit both of them the most. The money would go to the small company, helping it; which in turn would help protect the large company's investment.
If the larger company purchases in the market, the only ones that profit in the short term, are the existing shareholders...who will promptly sell into the buying and drive the price down again...benefiting the company not at all, and not helping the long term shareholders one whit.
Will a large company invest in NCII? Who knows.
