YHoo Bulls,

Look at this comment on AOL & NSCP merger from CBS Market Watch.

"By adding Netcenter to AOL's Web properties, it would be catapulted considerably ahead of Yahoo! (YHOO) in the battle for Internet audience, Andrikopoulos said. AOL has battled Yahoo! for the top spot for the number of unique Internet users.

Netscape's service and advertising revenue generated through Netcenter would also add considerable scale to the AOL's most profitable line of business, its marketing contracts with content providers who pay big bucks to appear on AOL."

With this deal, the antitrust case against MSFT is also effectively dead. Microsoft.com can freely compete in the Net world. With Microsoft.com also a content provider, its direct competitor will be YHOO. I would mark this time as the starting point of YHOO's decline.
