Jeff:

<<More to the point, are you saying it will be different from management's currently laid out plans? If the assets coming on line are the driver for the changing of the beast - super. That is what I am planning on. If the buyout/acquisitions results in a different beast, I'm not so sure I'll like that as much.>>

No doubt it will be different than management's currently laid out plans--it always has been! I think any acquisition Loral makes will be extremely well researched after what has happened with Orion. They also may be looking at acqusitions for backup for current/future sats to give the quality customers more peace of mind. There are Asian assets out there that are ridiculously cheap. For instance, APT in Hong Kong has 3 sats, including one nearly new FS1300, and the market cap is currently just over $200 million--by the way, that is double what the value was just a few weeks ago. That is cheap for 3 sats, ground stations, etc. Europe also has its share of small constellations that would fit well with Loral's Global Alliance. Acquisitions such as these would be positive changes to the plans. Being acquired is another story. We'll worry about that when it happens, but it must be kept in mind--the sat sector is consolidating right now, and Loral is a prime candidate.
