> I am not short, I am long

Same here. Short term I am bullish because the Xmas season will boost earning. I guess it will last till January earning (barring an sudden attack on Iraq). Then the world economy better have some good news to back it up.

I am short and long. US market is heading for a tumble, IMO. Causes are in the eye of the beholder after the fact.

What we do know is this: Based on most historical measures stocks are either expensive or grossly overpriced depending on how the next few months play out. I expect it will be shown to be the latter.

So many have made the bet that the economic cycle is a thing of the past that I am willing to take the other side of the bet.

Just remember, no one ever got hurt taking a profit.
