Why is MSFT going up a lot on AOL/NSCP and bad legal news?

It would appear that Mr. Market agrees with Microsoft, rightly or wrongly, that AOL/NSCP pulls the rug out from under the DOJ case. This helped break the just less than 115 triple top that MSFT had put in, propelling it to the old all-time high. Now the strength of the technical rally has broken that all-time high.

Now we get to see whether the DOJ/FTC will scrutinize the AOL/NSCP deal or whether they will confirm their hypocrisy by rubber stamping it. Since AOL is the dominant ISP should Microsoft petition the government to make AOL include IE along with Netscape on each CD that AOL distributes? Hahahaha! I mean, after all, AOL may try to use its dominant position in the ISP market coupled with the NSCP acquisition (who declared that they were going to "kill Microsoft") to cut off the air supply of MSN. Hahahaha!

Congrat MSFT stockholders. You had a great day today (as did the rest of the tech sector).
