What exactly are drollings, adolescent or otherwise? I find Russel to be far from childish- although looking at the world with the freshness of a child, freeing oneself from the tired opinions of others can be a good thing.

As for his philosophy being in the cultural time warp of Western Empiricism I rather wonder why you would bother to mention that when you are trapped in the cultural time warp of odd religious fanatic. I think I prefer Western Empiricism.

And how would you know extended adolescence is the universal disease of pagans? Have you studied ALL pagans? For to make such an absurd statement one would expect you to be a cultural anthropologist AND a sociologist (cross cultural at that) to have a knowledge of all "pagan" societies now and as far back into the distant past as it is possible to go. Yet you are also obviously a logician and mathematician as you are able to pronounce the work of Russel "sound" (may I add that I am sure Whitehead reposes more peacefully in his grave knowing that you have given his work your imprimatur)

Sadly I have none of your vast intellectual talent but even I can comprehend that good men, leading lives of good works, cannot necessarily make organizations good that seek to take up the banner of the "holy" man after he departs from this vail of tears. Thus, though Jesus may have been a good man, it does not follow that the church will be a good church. Somehow when organizations take hold of things- especially things of a sublime and religious nature- those things become mangled into cant and all the good works get trampled under the foot of orthodoxy.

Wow, that must be SOME BIG BOOK if it took that long to read, eh?
I remember once reading "Executioner's Song".....just about the most tedious thing I ever read. I never pick up a book that weighs more than 3 pounds, I have a tendency to read them straight through, the resulting loss of sleep (I'm partially blind in both eyes and I read slowly, I use a voice recognition program to read these posts) puts me in a difficult frame of mind.

I'm currently reading "Weebus Good Kittie; expanding your paradigm for the coming age". I have not determined exactly what a paradigm is yet, but I figure if I keep using the word someone will TELL ME WHAT THE HELL IT MEANS!!!! Dontcha just HATE it when that happens??????

Jeez, I once was in a theatre and I yelled out ERIF!!! ERIF!!! to no avail, then a dyslexic fellow started throwing water on me, imagine that! I was like so relieved....it really soothed the chaffing in my underpants I got watching "Viva Las Vegas". I don't know about that Elvis character, he was not one of your great dramatic actors.

So, are we, like, bonded yet? I need you to bookmark my profile in the now obsessive move to take over SI and throw people like yourself out. Not because you deserve it, it's just that I have a really sadistic streak that can never quite be satisfied! I really wish no harm to anyone....yet.

Cheers!
