To all: My conversation with the CEO of ALSC:

for about 20 minutes we talked on the phone about ALSC, DRAM, USC...

1-this quarter & next will be better than the Sep Quarter
2- Things are improving in the semi area. An UP cycle should start next year
3-ALSC is moving away from the PC biz and into Telecom & Networking where pricing is more stable
4-The canadian lawsuit is not an issue
5- Any DRAM dumping case will be handeled in the same way they handeled the SRAM case. Not a big factor.
6- ALSC has not started the stock buyback.
7- He would buy his own stock if he has the money. He and his brother control about half of ALSC shares.
8-USC IPO has been filed in Taiwan. Expected second half of 1999.
9- No merger talks with any company....yet

In general he was optimistic and said you will see the good result in the coming quarters.
