YHOO as Income-producing resource: Rather than fret about its valuation, use it as a rentable resource. Sell covered calls, or do a bull spread. Problem is in trying to figure out where to set the valuation. I wrote Jan calls at $200 2 weeks ago and thought I was high ... now I'll have to chase calls to repurchase and rollout -- unless its price bursts. But at least I have guaranteed a nice gain, to be taxed next year unless I'm called early.

David:

Its a tulip and it can go much, much higher. I've shorted this tulip several times and lost a bunch and made a bunch but I wouldn't touch it right now. There is no reasoning behind this thing, no sense of reality. And therefore it can keep right on going up. Could even see $500 or $1000. A single tulip bulb in the 1600's got to an equivalent of a $1000. What makes these tulips any different? If its this high, why not higher? I wouldn't even try to guess the top at this point. Rational people are completely irrational when it comes to the internets, but what the heck they are going up every day. Greed is a powerful motivator.
