So near but... don't we have to break through some resistance first? Does TA have anything to say, or were all bets off when the rules changed due to the buyback?

Seems to me there were probably a lot of people who bought on the way down, averaging their Creaf holding to around the $15-18 level. Dividend or not, they will be looking to sell some about now to redress the imbalance that resulted from them overloading on Creaf when averaging down.

Interesting to see whether Creaf continues with their current strategy (buy the stock up 3/4 in the first couple of hours and then support it at that level for the rest of the day?), or whether they let the price dip for a day to shake the loose leaves out of the trees. Seems like the price is ramping up too smoothly at the moment for Creaf to be getting the best price.

On the other hand, perhaps their objective is simply to push up the share price for the minimum cash outlay, in which case we may see strong buying from Creaf at any resistance to prove they mean what they say.

Whatever action they choose I don't think we will be seeing the ridiculously low prices again. Go Creaf!

Well let me tell you...the news of 1 million BSLives being shipped is very big news indeed. Worthy of a press release in and of itself, IMHO. I am somewhat skeptical of such figures (after the 100K DVD/month misquote of last year), but 1 million units in 10 weeks would mean something along the lines of 1.2 million or so for the quarter. Assuming ASPs are somewhat difficult...but I am trying to be conservative in both my ASPs (giving the retailers hefty margins of 20%) and weight of the lower cost SBLive Value.

Anyway, the results are encouraging. You add in the PCI 128 and Soundblaster AWE64D and we have to be looking at audio revenue in the range of 200-250 mm.

When we add in DVD of 300K+ on the quarter, increasing speaker revenues, and graphics of 20%, as indicated by the press release, it is not hard to come out with well over $400 million in revs for the quarter.

I am feeling very good about the earnings. And CREAF more or less came out and said they would beat with their employee incentives thing.

Brian

32

Stock ran from 8 to 16 in a fairly straight line, with minor flags along the way, following by a biiiig flag 11/5 to 11/17.

Expect it to move in a fairly straight line from 16 to 32.

Could be by the end of the year, given the rather steeper ascent now vs. before the big flag.

In any case, I expect fairly little resistance between here and 24, though some minor resistance around 20.

I say we close out the week around 20 at the close on Wednesday.

We should be counting-down "shopping days till Christmas". :)
