wm and all -

while we are on the subject and since this subject is now virtually QCOM business could someone please explain why there is no AOL on Windows CE.

If I could get a CE machine that did AOL then I would really get interested but without AOL its pretty near useless.

Generally, in my experience, re-writes are unsanctioned, and occurs as we add 'sanctioned' features.

I agree, in general. MSFT may be one exception to the rule, since they have all the resources, and (after they have anihilated the competition) all the time in the world to rewrite seriously flawed systems.

NT 5.0 and SQL server 7.0 are some examples where significant portions were rewritten.
