DubM,

Very well raised question. And go figure, with their market cap, they're down 1/8th! I suspect that they are so illiquid that one cannot look at the daily stock trading performance and get even a glimmer of real world fundamentals.

Anyone can/want to shed "light" on this?

Regards,

Barbara

Dub, Re: TGNT
Wow, they pegged the volume chart and won the stuffed animal today! :)
Why, who knows.
I looked at the edgar filings that I can get to inside the SI site and it looked like they issued a 10Q on 11/19, then amended it on 11/20. Maybe the amendment portion stimulated the action.
Over on Yahoo I just see the 11/20 SEC filing and don't follow the Company enough to understand if spending piles and piles and piles of money (with interest expense mounting) is good or bad for TGNT at this point. One line caught my eye:

<< Interest expense for the nine months ended September 30, 1998 was approximately $47.5 million, as compared with approximately $1.2 million for the corresponding period in 1997. This increase was due to recognizing interest expense on the Senior Notes and the New Discount Notes.

The Company expects to generate significant operating and net losses for the next several years. >>

Also apparently a bank and notes are involved in the Nortel deal.
But again who knows.
If you find out, please post, as any chart shows that TGNT and WCII track pretty well.
I still think this things are being built to sell to the highest bidder (biggest fool)... depending on your outlook.
Ciao,
