E; If you care to take time you can find most of our big caps listed on major markets in the UK France, or Germany, and they are POSTED in their currency and what they see on a TA basis is not what we see, unless their currency is pegged to the US , and it's not. --------------------------- For some time now I have been able to see MSFT, and INTC trading abroad before our markets open by doing a currency conversion I often see ahead of time if they are going to be up or down for the day. As if there is much of a spread the international traders will scalp it fast as soon as our markets open, then convert back. -------------------------- The big boys don't just play our market, in some cases you can work this with Canadian stocks as well. At times it's cheaper to buy on the foreign market than on the home front, or the other way around, don't think for a minute that goes unnoticed. But for the average investor in Frankfurt if they bought MSFT back at the first of Sept, they are not as happy with her run up as an American investor would be. As they paid about 190 DMs, then, and today she closed at 196 DMs. for about a 3% gain for them, while in the US during that same time you have seen almost a 20% run up, ah but if your going to Frankfort to buy something of theirs it's sure going to cost you a lot more than it did before Sept. MSFT trades as 870747 on the Frankfurt exchange. It was up over there strong early this morning before we opened so it was almost a sure thing to bounce over here. ------------------------- Just the same the DM has increased in value, and can buy almost as much MSFT today as the same amount of DM could back in Sept. ( 3% ) less. And you can bet your last dollar they do not see the TA the way we do when the dollar is all over the place. Msft is up 3% from the august lows in Frankfurt, but almost 20% in the US, how could the TA be the same. Keep an eye on the currency market, that's were the really big action is, ( it trades over a trillion a day )& don't think for a second it don't effect markets around the world. Jim
