But John, there are no facts in that communique. Just an interpretation of the facts. Here's some facts for you:

1) The Microsoft monopoly is in Operating Systems.

2) The alleged attempt at monopoly extension was from Operating Systems to the Internet.

3) Lack of success in monopoly extension is not proof that the monopoly extension was not attempted.

So, basically, Microsoft cannot rewrite history. They did what they did, and the fact that Netscape is still standing is not evidence that they didn't do what they did so, which is to say, try to take out Netscape to eliminate the threat to Windows Paradise.
