I don't know why you say that. The discussion hasn't been all that abstract. There isn't always a simple Newtonian classical 3 space way to adequately characterize what goes on in nature. The photon itself is incomprehensible to the classical mind. No one knows what a magnetic field is. We know how it acts, but attempting to decompose it is out of the question. Maybe the better way to understand photons and magnets is through M-Theory.

SR has apparently built an exciting technology which is worthy of further investigation. If it is anything like what they suggest, we have a major change coming in the structure of the network. I have a strong hunch that they have stumbled onto something with far more potential than what they've expressed. The reaction from the professional engineering world confirms that suspicion.

I might add that M-Theory is a remarkable creation and what may happen to SR is already happening to the world of physics with respect to M-Theory. To say the least it has moved from the closet of Superstring theory to the most heavily investigated areas of theoretical research. There are experiments being developed to test some of its low energy implications. It may end up providing the super environment in which the Standard Model makes sense.
