G: Thanks for the advice. I share your reservations regarding shorting RMBS. Actually, I'm more inclined to go long on a pullback. However, I first want to try to make some sense out of the projections. My estimate of RAM royalty revenues seems to be a good start. Unfortunately, the results are not encouraging. Which of my assumptions seem wrong to you?

I disagree with your notion that earnings can't be estimated for RMBS like they can't for internet stocks. My model will get us very close. All the numbers we need should be available. UncleWest says he knows them, but he won't tell. All MileHigh seems to know are lower limits which aren't much help. Since no one else seems to disagree with the values I've proposed, they might be reasonable estimates.

1999: $15b x 10% x 1.20% = $18m
2000: $17b x 20% x 1.00% = $34m
2001: $20b x 40% x 0.80% = $64m
