Most purchased shares in Major General for their diamond play and SVB nickel (Teck may be drilling there now) and weren't aware of their gold discovery on the Baie Verte peninsula of Newfoundland. If they don't have enough for a little gold mine, they're not too far away. Maybe they'll form a joint venture for a small gold mine in the area. There are more companies currently drilling for minerals in that area of Newfoundland than you can shake a stick at. If anything becomes of their gold discovery, it'll be an added bonus.

The Major and McWaters seem to think that it will cost $150 U.S. per ounce to mine. I believe that 1King stated somewhere in a previous post that the overburden was marketable. Hmmm
McWaters should have a feasability study out soon.

Elizabeth, Thanks for your opinion. In this one particular case I'll go with the pros: #reply-6044196.
Furthermore, this project is nice and possibly / likely rewarding but it is surely not the key to the company's ultimate success.
Best
