No what we need is a list of Ralphies bold predictions for the last five year and what actually happened. Guy's a ... you fill in the blank. Why doesn't somebody ask the webmaster to give us a clubhouse -- it would be nice to save a few things from time to time.

Looking at the first article you posted reminded me of something I heard yesterday. I don't remember who said it but he said that even though the dow is at all time highs a large percent of stocks have not reached their pre July levels. I rolled a deferred annuity (spread over 5 funds) into money market on 3/25/98. I run the numbers on them this mourning and they are still 600.00 below where they were when I rolled them. When you add in the interest it has earned they are quite a bit below. At the rate the funds have been advancing it looks like it will take about dow 9600 to get even. At these levels I sleep better with it in MM. I may sleep with the fishes, but I sleep better (g) erg
