Chat NSCP, AMP. The fun is over. Assumming the deal with AOL goes thru, then NSCP will be a sex slave of AOL. So one might as well own AOL. I think .45 is a low ball figure, but they didn't ask my opinion. On the other hand, AOL's getting NSCP cheap and paying for it with its highly inflated currency, makes it very attractive for AOL. It is somewhat amusing reading the nscp and aol threads; it almost seems like two sides of a "have to get married" wedding. NSCP people think we got ripped off, and AOL people wonder why the co would pay for a browser that is given away for free. EYEBALLS, thats why, and control of its destiny. In the far distant future of the internet (mid '99), i think this deal will come to be viewed as one of the turning points in internet developement. Hope y'all (see paul) made money on this one, and onto the next.
AMP - it appears that ALD will not get into a bidding contest for AMP. AMP will now trade relative to TYC. larry
