I've been reading all of the complaints about this software. I was just wondering if anyone is happy with the software and the way that it is operating?

Gary:

I unfortunately have to agree with you. My first experience today with Alpha left me feeling as if I received this product for FREE and should expect that type of service.

I'm not sure if I should feel bad for Jeff at support or if he is part of the problem. There is a tremendous lack of product knowledge, product commitment and lack of acknowledgement of either. Rather than taking the information up front and letting you know that someone will have to call you back, they attempted to make up answers to questions, repeatedly ask for the same information (obviously didn't think it was important enough to take notes the 1st two times) and then cannot commit to ANY call back E.T.A.

Worse then that, I solved 80% of my questions on my own but still have outstanding issues.

I have also found a number of inconsistencies in the product. For instance, if you do not select the 'accept credit card' option in the COMMERCE setup section, when someone orders something, their order form is returned with a credit card section on the bottom that implies credit cards are taken. This is not good. How do explain that to a customer?

Since I do not take credit cards, there is no opportunity to post canned text that explains the prepayment or COD options.

Alpha - treat this like a real product and not a freebie! Get support some training or at least have them be honest with customers. Don't attempt to solve problems if you don't have the answers. It only serves to frustrate.
