Hi Quicksand - According to the article: "As part of the deal, AOL would forge a pact that allows Sun to develop and market Netscape's business software. Sun would guarantee revenues to AOL in exchange for the software..."

I do not like the idea of "guarantee revenues" but prefer a royalty payment (percent of revenues) scheme. Maybe a compromise can be obtained where a minimum payment (or guarantee) is made to AOL for the next three years with unlimited software downloads for SUNW of JAVA , JINI and SLOARIS software through the portal.

I really wonder how much the Netscape enterprise software is worth considering SUNW just bought that other enterprise server company some month's back.

Dear Quick Sand: Well, I hope they get moving. I for one am rather excited about this. Not only is it apparently a boon for SUNW but frankly I would prefer to have the Netscape Browser as my default on AOL. JDN
