I use the service because my wife and daughter like it. I have to say, it is cheap for as much as we use it. The instant message service is what has them hooked on it. It is a social thing more then anything else. At work I us MSIE on a T! line. It moves a little faster, but I don't see any great advantage.

This is the same thing that the networks needed an act of congress to approve against the cable companies. Same concept and this is just all in a days negotiating. I'm not a lawyer but I think AOL would have a slam dunk if it went to court and the recieving Co. would then get less bucks. Many people don't like AOL but more people seem to like their AOL then the other 10 leading competitors compbined.
