Let MBT become a broker dealer, lower their rates thirteen bucks a trade, and become competitive like JPR and I would have not problem. Interesting how JPR uses RealTick, but not ARCA!!, and clears Southwest! Why should Terra Nova branch office customers get ripped off twice, once with commission dollars, and once with proprietary trading being done by Terra Nova. For an ECN to engage in proprietary trading is not illegal, it is just ethically wrong. It is interesting how Instinet and the Island do not engage in proprietary trading. Well, lets see how this market does today. Yesterday for you triva Dow types, it was the second day in less than a week that the Dow closed on the high print of the day. Yesterday was an awesome day, one to remember for a long time.

Terra Nova/Unauthorized Trading by Gerald Putnam at Prudential,
Where is a statement from Terra Nova where they do not engage in proprietary trading, one similar to Instinet and the Island? Terra Nova does not even have a web page that I know of where they can publish that statement? Why was Townsend and Terra Nova 1/3rd partners each in a SOES room. Wake up and stop the personal insults and look at the facts. Call up the NASD and ask if there is not a settled deal between Prudential Securities and Gerald Putnam (now the President of Terra Nova) that took place in the middle 1990's. This involved where Prudential Securities came after Putnam for unauthorized trading back either in 1992 or 1993 when he was an institutional broker there. He was kicked out of Prudential, and then he went to Gelderman. When he had problems at Gelderman, he came to me and we started Terra Nova. I then took him and introduced him to alot of the top clearing firms in town, along with Lewis Borsellino, a big S&P 500 floor trader who had a strong relationship presence.
