Interesting, futures are down and europe is turning negative as I type this...

Anyone have any idea how many days Amazon has closed DOWN in the last 2 months? It cant be more than 2 or 3..

Someone previously posted that they spoke with a very rich aquaintance on the golf course, who when asked "When will the internet bubble burst?" responded "When they've got the last dime from the shoe-shine boy"

Over dinner this evening, at a very unsophisticated bar/restaurant I frequent (ok, its a dive, but they have the best pork bbq on the planet) I overheard a couple of middle aged folks talking about how great the internet stocks looked.. The conversation went something like:

"I've just got to get in on Ebay, I need some extra cash"

blah blah blah

These people weren't shoe-shine boys, but it was clear from the conversation that they had never even invested in the market before- one was asking "how to send in money"..

Perhaps we are reaching the plateau.. You can only go up 30 points a day for so long.. If you extrapolate Ebay's upward movement in the last 20 minutes of trading yesterday, in 2 days it would be worth more than general electic or microsoft. If Ebay jumping 40 points AGAIN doesnt signal froth, I honestly don't know what does.
