Don, I was going to use 12/7, but it seemed unpatriotic.

The date reflects the average length of time of a Bull run after the last 11 fed/discount rate cuts. It also reflects, to which I believe we agree, a general bullish bias during the first week of the month as the 401K money flows in. In addition, as memory serves me, Mr G will be talking to Congress in mid-December, and I would expect a sell-off in anticipation of him moving his mouth. Further, we will start getting the earnings warnings for this quarter to entertain the masses. Finally, as I remember, the anticipated earnings for this quarter are still high and will undoubtedly start coming down. And in the end, one shouldn't come to expect 30% returns in such a short period of time on IBM. All in all, I believe financial gravity will take over. But, it has been fun!

Oh, by the way, I'm also following GZ's 25 day moving A/D average on the NYSE and it is starting to look sick. But, it has been fun!
