PalmPilot VII: A Whole New Life?
Wired - 12:30 p.m. 2.Dec.98.PST

SANTA CLARA, California -- If 3Com's Palm
Computing division has its way, the PalmPilot will
become something more than a mere pocket
organizer. The handheld device will "build a whole
new industry and a whole new way of life."

Meanwhile, the advent of Palm VII would seem to
write the final chapter for the stillborn PalmPilot V,
or "Razor."

Bercow suggested Wednesday that Razor --
touted for its increased memory and
synchronization capabilities -- was no longer in
3Com's plans. If it ever had been.

"There is no Razor," he said. "There has never
been a Razor. There was just a product that we
once looked at over a year ago."
