Searle: My projection of a 6 month bull assumes a sharp correction soon. If we don't get it, this bull make not make it to 1999. As for the VIX, the action of the past year shows that stocks have relatively little risk when the VIX is over 40 and a lot of risk when we are under 20 or even a bit over 20. Not predictive of short-term market action, but has a lot to say about when risk/reward ratios are favorable and when they are not. BYW, our local newspaper ran the following headline in the main news section today -- "Euphoria Back with Dow at New High." Need I say more.
