Ausdauer, what makes you think that you need a PC to use a storage device? If they can build ZIP drives into printers, they certainly could build a ZIP drive with a CF slot and a button marked "Copy".

Actually, I'd rather see Kodak offer a device for local drug stores where you would insert your CF card in one slot and your credit card in another. A PhotoCD would be shipped directly to your home from the nearest processing center (at bigger stores, the PhotoCD would plop out of the machine and into your hand). Naturally, you could request prints and/or a proofsheet too.

PS If you haven't tried Kodak Photo Paper it's a winner. Feels exactly like semi-gloss photo paper. Only problem is that it curls in high humidity.
