i'll have you know that amzn's loss per share was reduced by 66% due to the fundamentally important split that was just announced. don't you understand fundamentals ;-)

you are wrong again. AMZN losses dropped by 3 times, not 66%, after the split.

Seriously, I talked to an investor friend a few years ago about the stock market when I was visiting HK. He said we are all rookies here in the US. If we waste time looking at fundamentals, the market will just run right pass you. The way to invest is to suck in your guts and run with the herd. He was right for a few years. May be the US market has finally awaken to the more sophisticated strategies in investing - throw out the fundamentals, suck in your guts and buy buy buy.
