jglad,

>>I do not know why you had so many problems with the Sony Representatives. I received a clear demonstration of the Sony HiFD's ability to read and write a 1.44 MB disk with no hassles whatsoever.<<

Maybe because they suspected that I might ask them to demonstrate a long format of a 1.44MB floppy disk.

>>Did anybody else have as much trouble as Phillip with the Sony demonstrators?<<

Reseller did.

>>I heard Iftikar say that the product is shipping to OEM's at this time. It is on back order. We probably will not see the ORB drive in American stores til the end of the 1rst quarter.<<

Yea, I checked out the OEM's web pages. Orb wasn't mentioned once. Curious that Castlewood wouldn't ship to the US first. I wonder to what countries they are shipping.

regards,

Philip
