On November 24, 1998, I reproduced and posted into this space (post# 8961) an earlier posting, made on another bulletin board by a person whom I did not know, and accused Stephen Hicks, Mark Valentine and their company of illegally shorting stock RTIN and others.

At the time that I posted the message, and in fact to the present day, I had and have no actual knowledge of any unlawful conduct by Mr. Hicks, Mr. Valentine or their companies. My posting was based solely on the earlier posting. When I saw that posting I assumed the statements to be true and did not conduct any investigation into the facts themselves; nor did I look into the integrity of the person who was the source of the statement.

I realize that by posting my message about Mr. Hicks and Mr. Valentine I may have further injured their reputations, both personally and commercially, and I apologize to them for any harm that my posting may have caused.
