I think your stuck on Microsoft being a "natural monopoly" in the old paradigm of non-networked PC's. A company doesn't want to spend the money porting and testing their application on multiple platforms.

In the new paradigm they do not have this "natural monopoly", and it is this shift they are trying to prevent. I don't know how anyone who uses the Internet can possibly think this is good.

At this point, at the top, you made your most crucial errors. I suggest you read Barry Goldwater, to start, for a view on what conservatism used to be. (And in my view, should return to being.) Nor will today's tawdry right-wing tactic of deliberately confusing liberalism with socialism get past me.

I am surprised at you. This kind of remark is usually left to the loose cannon types like Buchanan.

You are going need to at least refer to original references to get this attempt across. Your POV is not going to be enough on this point. Sorry.
