Of course. It's similar to agreements that Barnes & Noble has with AOL except that it's limited to music. These agreements are common and this one is not very significant except because of the name recognition. MSN is something like 4th or 5th in traffic volume behind YHOO, AOL, LCOS. Amazon had been advertising on MSN for several months so I don't see how this agreement will help spur sales that much. It just gives them number one shot as ad placement.

My how the Internet, this miraculous dream for liberated thinking and control, has shifted toward who can put up the best ad campaign to buy our loyalty. Reminds me of the boob tube. I guess nitizens are, after all, not as removed from that upbringing as they think - just mindless followers of trends who clamor for familiarity and sameness. Multi-billion dollar valuation Monolith Amazon will squash the bugs of free enterprise!
