I have done well following this thread, including shorting selected stocks off of Roger's worthless small stock list earlier in the year. However, I can't think of any better reason for a short thread than to tell you when NOT to short. Larry has been very good about coming on this thread and warning us off shorting Yahoo, etc.

I have been short MU for the past couple of days, I believe from around 42. It fit my criterion for shorting: recent big runup, with enthusiasm fading. Unfortunately, the excitement from the whole market pumped everything up. My biggest shorts right now are AND (ahead) and SRCM (under water). I also did well shorting GERN, already covered. I tried to take a large KTEL short position at 31, but couldn't find shares.
