<<People are not dying because of the sanctions, people die each day because of Saddam Hussein's terror regime. The responsibility rests with Iraq's leadership...>>

The point is (IMO) is that sanctions are not working -- as should have been obvious from the outset -- because Saddam remains Saddam. Hence only the people are suffering. I repeat: Bush should have taken out Saddam when he had the opportunity.

The choice is not food or weapons. That is the big lie. Most of the world knows that the US goal is to install a puppet regime in Iraq. The weapons issue is totally bogus -- just an excuse to continue the sanctions.

I have a bridge to sell you if the you think the US government and media are telling the truth on this issue. If Iraq is such a threat why is that only Britain and Israel are in favor of bombing Iraq? Iraq is no more of a threat today than Vietnam was 25 years ago.I remember very well the constant barrage of lies asserting that we must fight to the bitter end or all of Asia would go communist.
