I am not spending any more time on Amazon than I have to. I have to get my own Internet efforts into high gear instead. I don't much like the idea that one or even a handful of Internet companies will control the eyes and buying of consumers. The reality that people like to "pick a winner" and then ignore others as not being one of their chosen few isn't lost on me. That's the way things are and must be dealt with if you wish to compete on the Internet. I think Amazon has done most things right but am disgusted by how people are willing to behave like cattle or lemmings. I'll admit that's human nature and a big reason why it's been stupid to fight the general movement up in the Internet stocks. I hope that Internet users don't decide to just adopt the technology to plug themselves into the Amazon.com or Microsoft "channel". I am all for a "greening" of society via the Internet rather than canonizing a few chosen ones. This is such an emotionally driven sector and stock and knowing that the publics' degree of likes and dislikes are volatile, this sector is liable to remain rocky for some time to come.

How about that for wandering around the topic?
