The C&W announcement is certainly significant in addition to the positive earning surprise. Thank you for your posting, Pat. Among all the ATM vendors (FORE, XYLN, ASND, CS, NT/BAY, CSCO, and NN), NN is the only one who makes real carrier-class ATM switches and has the closest tie with the telecommunications industry. The others are largely enterprise ATM (LAN backbone) or the edge devices makers.

Tidbits from the Newbridge CC. Pat always has the best notes so this is the short snappers. China Post win will be released prior to market opening tomorrow. Global One contract should be decided by December 3rd, Alan's wifes birthday. Regenerated relationship with Siemens AG. Newbridge stronger against Cisco and Ascend with Siemens than without. More products added to the marketing of the alliance. Book to bill >1 Inventory reduction to 4.3 turns per year. Linearity Q-Q not fully under control as of yet Leadership team improving, groundswell in employee morale ranks with changes. More to come. Cash may be used for potential purchases to round out companies portfolio of products. SS7? R&D should remain at this level for the remainder of the year. Regards Glenn
