Rick, I recall E posting quite a cogent statement of belief here not long ago; odd that you missed it, as I believe it was addressed to you. Perhaps you could go back and look it up, or ask her to post it again. Steve

E: I have said enough here to tell you much about that in a denotative way-- though the "corresponds to" part could be argued, as it is my effort not to have beliefs which correspond to your X, except in the sense that I have made observations and processed them and have developed convictions that give meaning and perspective to my life. I decline to write for you an essay on the subject of "my personal philosophy," which in any case would have *nothing whatever to do with whether X is a fantasy or not.* I am flattered that you want so much to explore my inner life, but choose at this time not to explore it connotatively in this venue. Do you have any problems with that choice of mine? R: Yes, it seems unfair, since I have chosen to say what my position is on X. E: So have I.
