Dale,
I'm all for making money in the market, up, down, long, short, really makes no difference to me. After reading you latest post, I am amazed at your blanket statement. I suggest you go back and look at Sun's long term chart (over the last 6 or 7 years). There was a time period where the stock shot up and never looked back. If you were short at that time and stuck to the strategy you just laid out, you would have been massacred.

Just a word of caution. Sometimes the funnymentals change. Maybe you don't believe this is the current case with SUNW or maybe you are expecting the overall market to reverse, taking all stocks down?

I have seen shorts come and go, smart and lame. I strongly suggest you reread your last post. It reads to me, childishly lame and stubborn. Please don't read into my last statement as an attack on you personally. I simply question your last post.

Best regards,
Michael

<<BTW: Did you notice SUNW pulling back late in the day. My question to you is at what price would you sell. 58, 48, 38 etc?>>

That's a little lame, don't you think? Everything pulled back. MSFT was nearly 4 off its intraday high. I suspect MSH sell programs took it all down.

I am a buy and hold guy and bought this particular security in Oct 1995 at a split adj price of 13. I have no plans to sell SUNW until I see negative changes in the company fundamentals.

By the way, I also hold lots of MSFT. I am happy with both as is evidenced by their huge success. I see no reason to argue the merits of one company over the other. Discussing such in a forum like this might be entertaining but in reality it really proves absolutely nothing..
