Maybe this is old news here, but in the past week I've seen Divx and DVD commercials on TV. Last night during NYPD Blue's big episode (they killed Jimmy Smits' character with heart failure) they had a DVD player advertised for $299, and over the weekend I saw a Divx player advertised for $399 (Circuit City ad). So I'm guessing we are in for the holiday onslaught of DVD commercials, and hopefully, corresponding sales. It's about two years late, but I'll take it.

Divx is pushing the exclusivity of certain titles to make sure consumers buy the Divx machine "It's the only player that plays both DVD and Divx discs . . . " Those of you with any history here know how I feel about Divx. Let's hope it dies a quick death.
