*******Way OFF TOPIC*****

Garcia,
I'm restating this because......
I have been where you are right now. I don't have the iron stomach to watch these INTERNUTS, but I understand. I actually lost our down payment on our house, ONCE!...it was awful. I was invested in some really risky options......"going for the JUGGLER" is what I told myself......if these things pay-off we'll be in a MANSION! Of course all things that go up, must come down, I couldnt sleep, eat, leave the computer. Needless to say, the options expired worthless.....lost a bundle! I will not live like that again.
Every once in a while, I have to make a bonehead trade like I did today to remind myself that today is one day out of 20 years of investing. Ten years from now, today will only be a spec on a chart.
Nothing any of us can say will make it better, but trust all of us.....
wether any of the rest of us are willing to admit it, we have ALL BEEN THERE.
Everyone on this thread is part of the CPQ family. I equate this to playing golf......you can go out and shoot the round of your life (like a 72).....but it isn't near as enjoyable as shooting 82 with your buddies!
I read this thread to find out about CPQ first......secondly to catch up on what everyone else is doing.
I look forward to meeting everyone at 50PAQ
Hang in there, keep your chin up, and we'll lift a beer at 50PAQ!

CGarcia,

I can only second what Jimbo said about diversifying. If you are 100% in COOL (whatever that is - a microcap I presume). I would encourage you to take action immediately. You need to diversify asap. I recommend taking 10% off the table immediately and try to take advantage of any rallies to take more out of COOL.

Then divide your account into at least 4 companies. More if you have a large portfolio or are nearing retirement. Jimbo sounds like he enjoys trading the microcaps as part of his portfolio and that is cool, but the Microcaps are very tough to win at. It is hard to get information from them and you end up trading against insiders and "friends" of insiders. They also don't have the same SEC reporting restrictions as the larger caps. If there is bad information you will unfortunately be the last to know. When it comes to Microcaps those with the best and first information win.

I have never traded the microcaps, but I have heard enough stories to know many of them are scams and ripoffs. (Not all of them of course).

Anyhow that is JMO. I would recommend the big caps. The small caps are nice also, but they can be more volatile and you have to watch them a bit closer.

Good Luck!

Dale

The boogie man is coming for all of us sooner or later.
The amount of money we make on CPQ only gives us a little comfort
before that time.
