>It was enough to make one sick

And unfortunately, since it was aired on national network evening news, it will be enough to add 20 points to Amazon tomorrow.

Interesting fact: at today's closing price Ebay now has a P/E of
1200:1.

No sir, no irrational exhuberance here. :)

< Someone at AMZN has to do fulfillment and fulfillment costs currently exceeds gross margins> Could you explain what fulfillment is please. I am not a merchant but an English major. I thank you sir. An example would help.

Glen,< He also stated AMZN will be profitable in 2001 as though that is fact.>
Forget about the past. Look at the 'Thing' as a wonderful profit making machine.
I'd love to have 100k shares long and 100k shares short in a non-margin account. There will be days like today , with wonderful volatility,

wow 28 points to play with. This is a money maker like I've never seen.
In this whole trading fiasco how many traders do you think would bring in several thousand short shares only to match them with longs?
Patience is a key here, because to do nothing costs only dead money.
If a Investor can't stand the thought of parking dead money for a day, week, month or year? They're sick, addicted or plain to restless.
Hey, I'll even throw some money @ a short long play now.
I can almost tell what these Internet stocks will do by just doing a lot of reading, a couple of hrs before the daily open.
regards
ps between now and the end of the year. I'll not open my box until the market has opened nor leave it open overnight.

He compared BKS sales on the net only to AMZN's at this point in time and AMZN's increase sales last quarter.

Did Peter Jennings mention that BKS internet sales increased 166% sequentially, while AMZN's increased only marginally, and in fact AMZN book sales in the U.S. declined on a sequential basis? Probably not.

Books have their biggest quarter in this Christmas season, so obviously AMZN's sales will increase this q, on both sequential and y-y basis. Next year I expect BKS to overtake AMZN in all catagories.
