A famous person, Mirthies ex neighbor, I think, once said, "Those who do not anticipate history are bound to stay where they are." This may not explain why XOMA wants to be domiciled in Bermuda but it does explain why the neighbor moved.

Lets wait for the prospectus. It should give us other things to think about as well as clearing up the exact reasons the change might be advantageous.

They also mentioned that they expect foreign currency transactions.
Does that open the door to turn away from FDA approval if problematic, and seek foreign approvals thus generating foreign currency transactions.
Bermuda is a fantastic place for fun and business, I hope they hold their annual meetings there. HAPPY THANKSGIVING!
